Can refugees travel?
As a refugee or a stateless person in a State that has signed the 1951 Refugee Convention and the 1954 Statelessness Convention, you have the right to a Convention Travel Document (CTD) issued to travel. However, in practice refugees often face challenges when trying to travel internationally.
Find out more information on the travel documents for refugees and stateless people page.
For information about the specific country you are currently in, contact the UNHCR office there.
